Teresa Polley brings to Girl Scouts of Connecticut very strong financial, corporate governance, and market skills. Terry is a successful CEO, senior finance executive, and CPA with 30+ years of experience in business, corporate governance, government relations, enterprise risk management, and global capital markets regulation. A thought leader recognized for shaping financial reporting, she built the foundation of her career at a global public accounting firm. As President/CEO of the Financial Accounting Foundation, Terri steered the organization through a complex transformation during a period of unprecedented demand for financial reporting transparency. Her appointment to President in 2008 and CEO in 2010 coincided with the global financial crisis, placing extraordinary demands on the body charged with establishing generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) through its entities—the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB). Terry resides in Fairfield County.
