Julie Somogyi

Julie Somogyi is an accomplished communication and engagement professional with extensive experience in leadership roles within the Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago & Northwest Indiana, serving as Chief Experience Officer and Chief External Affairs Officer since May 2020, following a decade of contributions as Vice President of Member and Mission Engagement and Director of Integrated Marketing and Communications. Additional roles include freelance communications at DuPage Children's Museum, Director of Communications at Girl Scouts of Chicago, and Director of Public Relations at Girl Scouts of DuPage County Council. Julie began their career as a Communications Specialist at Silver Cross Hospital and worked as Lifestyle Editor for Reporter Progress Newspapers. Julie holds a Bachelor of Science in News Editorial Journalism from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
