Emily Fletcher Fein has extensive experience in program management and leadership roles in the nonprofit and education sectors. Emily began their career as an Instructor at the Rochester Museum & Science Center, where they taught a wide range of subjects to students of varying ages. Emily then worked as a Teacher at Nature's Classroom, Inc, and later returned to the Rochester Museum & Science Center as the Head of Youth and Family Programs.
In 2006, Emily joined the Great Lakes Science Center as the Manager of Camps, Classes, and Outreach. In this role, they oversaw fee-based programs, developed new science programs, and managed various responsibilities such as hiring staff and curriculum development.
Since 2010, Emily has held leadership positions at the Girl Scouts of North East Ohio, starting as the Director of Programs and eventually becoming the Chief Operating Officer. In these roles, they provided strategic direction to the organization, managed volunteers and staff, and oversaw various aspects of the Girl Scout Council's operations.
Emily's work experience showcases their expertise in program development, project management, and customer service. Emily has a strong background in creating positive and inclusive environments for girls and ensuring their experiences are meaningful and impactful.
Emily Fletcher Fein has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History with Honors and Biology from the University of Rochester, which they obtained from 1999 to 2003. Emily holds a Masters of Science degree in Education, Museum Leadership from Bank Street College of Education, earned between 2006 and 2009. Emily is currently pursuing their ABD (All But Dissertation) in Cultural Foundations of Education at Kent State University, starting in 2014. In terms of certifications, Emily has a Gender at Camp Institute certification from the American Camp Association (obtained in an unspecified year), a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education (obtained in an unspecified year), and they achieved the Girl Scout Gold Award from the Girl Scouts of the USA in 1999.
