Laura Fakharzadeh is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership and communication within nonprofit organizations. Since 1998, Laura has held various roles at the Girl Scouts of Western New York, currently serving as the Assistant Director of Product Program, where responsibilities include fostering a culture of achievement and overseeing product sales strategies. Previous positions include Communications/Advocacy Manager and Director of Communications/Development, focusing on enhancing the organization's public image and strategic planning. Prior to joining the Girl Scouts, Laura worked at Tops Markets as a Demo Administrator, managing personnel and event coordination, and at The Tonawanda News as a reporter, writing articles on local events and features. Laura holds a Bachelor's Degree in Communications/English from Canisius University.

Girl Scouts of Western New York, the preeminent girl leadership organization, currently serves 15,000 girls and 7,000 adult volunteers. Adult volunteers conduct a variety of age-appropriate programs and opportunities for girls at the troop and service unit level. Girls also participate in council-wide projects.
