Patrice Banks first started their career at DuPont in 2002, where they held various roles such as Materials Engineer and Corrosion Engineer. During their time at DuPont, they developed and led corrosion testing programs, solved complex materials and reliability problems, and organized a large internal training and networking conference. In 2010, they became the Explore Engineering Program Chair, leading a team to encourage high school female students to pursue engineering and science careers. In 2013, Banks founded Girls Auto Clinic, where they serve as the Chief Shecanic and Founder. Patrice aims to empower women in the automotive industry and provide resources and education on car care. Patrice is passionate about changing the status quo and creating a supportive community for women in the field.

Patrice Banks completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Materials Engineering from Lehigh University in the time period of 1998 to 2002. Additionally, Patrice obtained an Associate's degree in Automotive Engineering Technology/Technician from Delaware Technical Community College, achieved from 2012 to 2013.
