Sarah Williamson

Director of Marketing and Community Experience at Girls Gone Strong

Sarah Williamson's work experience begins in 2006 as a Graphic Designer at American Classifieds. Sarah worked there until 2008 when they moved on to become an Art Director at Clemens & Associates. In 2010, they became a Zumba Fitness Instructor at Zumba and continued in that role until 2018. In 2016, they also became a Certified Personal Trainer at The Bar Athletic Club, which they did until 2020.

In 2017, Sarah joined Girls Gone Strong (GGS) as a Graphic Designer, where they were responsible for various design and branding tasks. Sarah later became the Director of Marketing and Community Experience at GGS in 2021. In this role, they worked on marketing strategies, brand consistency, copywriting, design execution, video and photo editing, customer surveys and feedback gathering, metric tracking and data analysis, and systems and software management. Sarah also provided support in other areas of the organization as needed.

Alongside their other roles, Sarah worked as a Freelance Graphic Designer from 2018 to 2021, and as a Freelance Photographer from 2009 to 2011.

Sarah Williamson obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Graphic Design from Angelo State University, which they attended from 2001 to 2005. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained several certifications. These include the GGS-1 Women's Coaching Specialist Certification from Girls Gone Strong, obtained in April 2022, and the Shane Snow on Storytelling certification from LinkedIn, obtained in December 2021. Sarah also holds certifications such as the Pre- & Postnatal Coaching Certification from Girls Gone Strong, obtained in May 2020, the NASM Fitness Nutrition Specialist (FNS) certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), obtained in May 2016, and the Certified Personal Trainer (NASM-CPT) certification from NASM, obtained in May 2014.
