Amie Thuener (O'Toole) is currently the VP and Chief Accounting Officer at Alphabet Inc., overseeing global accounting policy, SEC reporting, M&A activities, and Treasury controllership. She also leads the finance for Other Bets within Alphabet. Amie has a background in managing director roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and experience in various board member and leadership positions at organizations such as Financial Executives International and Girls Leadership. Her education includes a BA in Economics (Accounting) and Philosophy from UC Santa Barbara.

Girls Leadership
Girls Leadership teaches girls how to exercise the power of their voice through programs grounded in social-emotional learning. We provide programs for girls, workshops for families, and professional development training for teachers, guidance counselors, and non-profit staff. We center gender and racial equity in our work to address the internal and external barriers to leadership development. Our work is structured around four central values: Authentic Communication, Courageous Growth, Equity, and Play. Girls includes anyone who identifies as a girl, as well as non-binary and gender expansive youth
