Burcu Esmer

Burcu Esmer is currently an advisor at Girls Who Invest. Prior to that, they worked as a visiting assistant professor at Indiana University Kelley School of Business and as an assistant professor at Bilkent University. Burcu also has experience as an instructor at the University of Iowa. Esmer has a passion for helping others and empowering women, which is evident in their work history. Burcu is dedicated to their career and strives to make a positive impact in the lives of those they work with.

Burcu Esmer has earned a PhD in finance from the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business, an MA in economics from the University of Iowa, and a minor in mathematics from Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University. Burcu also holds a BSc in economics from Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University and a high school diploma from Cankaya Ataturk Anatolian High School. In addition, they have earned certification from Duolingo in both French fluency (intermediate and elementary levels).
