Mike Pyatt is a biosecurity advisor at Gisborne District Council since August 2020, focusing on enhancing biosecurity and environmental diversity through collaboration with iwi, special interest groups, and stakeholders. Mike also worked as a training coordinator for the New Zealand Mountain Safety Council, managing safety training programs, and as a pest plants officer, honing skills in biosecurity and relationship management. Mike's career began as a weed spraying contractor with Barron Weed Control. Academic qualifications include University Entrance in Biology from Kamo High School.
