Ali-Reza Adl-Tabatabai serves as the CEO and Founder of Gitar since November 2023. Previously, Ali-Reza held the position of Senior Director of Engineering at Uber from April 2017 to February 2024, focusing on Developer Platform initiatives. Prior to Uber, Ali-Reza was an Engineering Director at Google from May 2013 to April 2017, where responsibilities included overseeing Site Reliability Engineering for various products and cloud infrastructure. Experience at Facebook as a Software Engineer involved working on the HipHop VM team, creating a SSA-based tracing JIT compiler for PHP. At Intel Labs, Ali-Reza served as the Director of the Programming Systems Lab and Senior Principal Engineer, leading research on new programming technologies and their hardware support. Other positions include lecturer at Stanford University, Director of Engineering at Broadbase, Technical Lead and Engineering Manager at Rubricsoft Corporation, and Staff Research Scientist at Intel Corporation. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. and an MS in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, as well as a BS in Computer Science and Engineering from UCLA.
