Carmen Maria Lopez

Carmen Maria Lopez is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project management, business development, and environmental services. Currently serving as a Senior Project Manager and Business Development Manager for Central America and the Caribbean at GITEC Consult GmbH since March 2011, Carmen has also worked as an Independent Consultant in Natural Resources and Environmental Services from January 2011 to October 2015. Previous roles include Consultant at the International Fund for Agricultural Development, Environmental Specialist at Abt Associates, and Protected Area Capacity Specialist at The Nature Conservancy. Carmen has held significant positions such as Chief of Party for PROARCA/PRODOMA-USAID at CATIE and National Project Preparation Coordinator at The World Bank. Educational credentials include an MSc in Environmental Socio Economics from Centro Agronómico Tropical de Investigación y Enseñanza and a degree from Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala.
