Arthur Baars

Arthur Baars has a substantial background in software engineering and management, currently serving as the Lead Software Engineer (Engineering Manager) at GitHub since September 2019 and at Semmle since February 2013. Prior to these roles, Arthur worked as a Researcher at Universidad Politécnica de Valencia from September 2007 to December 2012, contributing to the EU funded EvoTest project focused on meta-heuristic algorithms for testing. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Utrecht University, obtained in 2009, and an M.Sc. in Computer Science from the same institution, completed in 2000, following a VWO degree from Minkema College in 1996.
