Wayne Baker

Wayne Baker is the Robert P. Thome Professor Emeritus of Business Administration at the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, a position held since June 2023, following a distinguished tenure as Robert P. Thome Professor from 1995 to September 2023. Baker holds a PhD in Sociology from Northwestern University, completed in 1981. Currently, Baker serves as an author of "All You Have to Do Is Ask," providing tools for mastering the art of asking for support. Additionally, Baker is a board member at Give and Take, Inc. and was the Faculty Co-Director at the Center for Positive Organizations from September 2018 to September 2023. Prior roles include Associate Professor at the University of Chicago from 1987 to 1995.
