Mary Paschen

Director, Social Impact Programs at Give To Get

Mary Paschen's work experience includes a variety of roles in different companies. Mary started their career as an EAL Teacher at St. Jerome's Catholic Church in 2006 and later held the same position at Chiang Mai Educational Center in 2007. In 2008, they worked as a Manager & Instructor at Arte Accion in Nicaragua. From 2008 to 2015, Mary worked as a Project Manager at Garrett Paschen, Ltd. In 2012, they participated in a training seminar on watershed development and community participation in rural India as a Project Trainee at Watershed Organisation Trust (WOTR) and also gave a conference presentation at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research. In 2012, Mary served as a GIS Consultant at Institute of Cultural Affairs. From 2015 to 2016, they were the National Program Director at CorpsGiving. Starting in 2016, Mary held multiple roles at Give To Get, including National Project Lead, Events & Activations, and Director, Social Impact Programs. Additionally, in 2016, they served as a Board Member at Chicago Community ToolBank.

Mary Paschen began their education at McGill University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree. During their time at McGill, they studied International Development Studies, Hispanic Studies, Statistics, and Geography. Following their undergraduate studies, Mary attended DePaul University from 2010 to 2013, earning a Master of Science (M.S.) degree with Distinction in International Public Service. Additionally, during their time at DePaul, they received a Certificate of Cartography and GIS, specializing in Geographic Information Science and Cartography. Mary also obtained a TESOL Certificate from Oxford Seminars in 2006, and completed intensive Spanish coursework in Buenos Aires, Argentina at Fundación Ortega y Gasset in 2005.
