Mark Rummel has a long and varied work experience. In 2021, they began their current role as Vice President of Customer Experience and Vice President of Community at Givebutter, a fundraising platform. From 2016 to 2021, they worked at Trinity Habitat for Humanity as the Marketing & Engagement Director and Marketing & Engagement Manager. From 2010 to 2016, they were the Owner and Web Developer & Communications Consultant at Modern Web Designer. From 2005 to 2010, they were the Managing Member at NovaGenesis, LLC. From 2002 to 2005, they were the Owner of Wellness Direct, a high-end water filtration and enhancement systems company. From 2001 to 2002, they were the Owner and Creative Director at Smart Market Solutions, Inc. From 2005 to present, they have been a volunteer Secretary of the Board of Directors and Lead Sponsor of the High School Youth Group at Unity Church of Dallas. From 2002 to 2003, they were the Student Director of Volunteer Services at Furman University.

Mark Rummel attended Lakehill Preparatory School from 1997 to 2001, where they received a High School degree. Mark then attended Furman University from 2002 to 2004, but did not receive a degree. In April 2015, they obtained an Intermediate (Estimated) Duolingo Spanish Fluency certification from Duolingo.
