Roger Pharr

Roger Pharr is a seasoned data management professional with extensive experience in operational leadership and data engineering. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Central Data at GiveDirectly since February 2022, Roger has successfully led the design and monitoring of operational KPIs and automated data quality checks for large-scale poverty alleviation initiatives. Prior to this role, Roger worked as a Data Engineer at New York University, focusing on data processing for jail and prison data, and as a Criminal Justice Fellow at the Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada, where contributions were made to bail support initiatives. Earlier in the career, Roger held a managerial position at Twitter, overseeing supply planning and data center automation. Educational qualifications include a BS in Business/Information Technology from the University of Phoenix and an AS in Electronics from DeVry University, supplemented by studies at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
