Samuel Kreter

Sam Kreter is an experienced technology professional currently serving as the Director of Program Technology at GiveDirectly since May 2021, following roles as Senior Engineering Manager and Senior Software Engineer. Prior to this, Sam held various positions at Microsoft from September 2017 to May 2021, including Senior Software Engineering Manager, overseeing the development of Azure Kubernetes Service and contributing to cloud-native microservice architectures. Sam's earlier experience includes roles such as Research Assistant at the Center for Geospatial Intelligence and several engineering internships, notably at Anheuser-Busch InBev, where bilingual skills were utilized. Sam's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia and an intensive language program in Chinese at East China Normal University.
