Joe Mulcahy

Joe Mulcahy has been working in the professional world for over 30 years. Joe began their career in 1985 as a Hearing Officer and Appraisal Specialist for the State of Illinois Property Tax Appeal Board. In 1987, they moved on to become the Director of Property Tax Services at Mayer Brown. In 1993, they became the President and Owner of Mulcahy & Associates. In 1994, they joined Deloitte as a Principal and Practice Leader, where they held numerous leadership positions over the next 14 years. In 2007, Joe became the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Thomson Reuters, leading the successful divestiture/acquisition and integration of the world’s largest global property tax consulting practice. In 2013, they became a Board Member, Practice Leader, and Principal-in-Charge of Ryan, leading the successful divestiture from Thomson Reuters. In 2019, Joe became a Member of the Chicago ArchAngels. In 2020, they joined TWO39 Ventures as a Member. Most recently, in 2017, Joe became a Member and Key Account Representative of Givenly.com, a corporate gifting service.

Joe Mulcahy obtained their Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Accounting from Illinois State University between 1980 and 1985. Joe also holds the Certified Member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (CMI Designation).
