David Shao

David Shao is an experienced technology leader with a strong background in software engineering, digital marketing, and web technologies. Currently serving as Senior Director of Software Engineering at Northwestern Mutual since May 2022, David oversees a range of critical functions, including MarTech and Customer Data Platforms. David's leadership extends to nonprofit organizations as President of the Board of Directors for ZERO BREAST CANCER and Chair of the Board of Directors for GiveTeens20. With previous roles at ServiceNow, RingCentral, Splunk, Intel Corporation, Altera, Xilinx, and Apple Computer, David has demonstrated expertise in managing teams, driving digital transformation, and enhancing customer experiences through innovative strategies across various platforms. David holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science and Business from Middle Tennessee State University and in Mathematics and Computing Science from the University of Central Oklahoma.
