David Henderson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in social entrepreneurship and public policy. Currently serving as Founder of Giving Credit since June 2023 and as a START Innovator at Princeton University since January 2024, David has a background that includes a Visiting Fellow position at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and a Sugarman Practitioner in Residence role at the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs, focusing on informal lending in low-income communities. Previous experience includes serving as Chief Technology Officer at UpTogether, Co-Founder of Idealistics, and Editor for Poverty Insights, among other roles dedicated to addressing poverty and homelessness. David holds a Master of Science in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from Pomona College.

Giving Credit is a social credit network that amplifies community finance by bringing transparency to informal lending networks, protecting peer-lenders against loan loss through loan guarantees, reporting informal loan repayment to credit bureaus, and enabling lenders to deduct loan-loss from Federal income taxes.
