Shareeza Bhola has a long and varied work experience. Shareeza began their career in 2002 as a Research/Editorial Assistant at the Margaret Sanger Papers Project at New York University. In 2004, they became a National Civilian Community Corps Member at Americorps. In 2005, they took on the role of Research Assistant to the Chief of Operations at the Children's Aid Society. Shareeza also worked as a Research/Data Entry Assistant for the same organization in 2007. From 2006 to 2010, they worked as an Associate Director of Messaging at GLAAD. In 2012, they began working at Change.org as a Communications Manager, becoming a Senior Communications Manager and Deputy Director of Communications over the next five years. In 2017, they were appointed as the Director of Public Relations and Social Media at the Ad Council. In 2019, they began working at The Public Theater as the Director of Institutional Communications and the Senior Director of Communications. Most recently, in 2022, they took on the role of Chief Communications Officer at GivingTuesday.
Shareeza Bhola received their M.A. from New York University Gallatin School of Individualized Study in 2009, with a focus in Gender & Sexuality Studies, History, and Law. Prior to that, they earned their B.A. from New York University in 2004, with a focus in Sociology, Gender and Sexuality Studies, and Psychology.
