Daniela Goehler is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in climate finance and ecosystem restoration. Currently serving as the Team Leader for the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration at GIZ, Daniela advises the German Ministry of Environment. Additionally, Daniela leads the International Forest-related Climate Finance Programme, providing counsel to both the German Foreign Office and the Ministry of Environment. Previously, Daniela held roles at The World Bank as a Senior Carbon Finance Specialist and as a Young Professional in the Forests Team. Experience also includes a policy advisory role at the Bundesministerium für Umwelt, Naturschutz, nukleare Sicherheit und Verbraucherschutz, and various trainee and volunteer positions in sustainable management and forest policy. Daniela holds a Master of Science in Forestry Sciences from Technische Universität Dresden.
