Jamal Barakat

Jamal Barakat, CEM®, CAP®, CMVP®, CWEP®, PMVA™, currently serves as a Measurement and Verification Consultant at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH since July 2020, focusing on M&V practices in the water sector and the development of tools and methodologies for energy and water efficiency projects. Previously, Jamal held the position of Energy Consultant at GIZ, where responsibilities included evaluating energy efficiency measures and coordinating energy assessments. Earlier experience includes roles as an Energy Audit Engineer at ETA-max Energy and Environmental Solutions and as an Energy Engineer at National Energy, supporting energy audits and management services. Jamal also completed internships at TÜV SÜD and Nuqul Group, gaining foundational experience in mechanical engineering. Education includes a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the German Jordanian University and a study abroad program at OTH Regensburg.
