Michael Wahl

Michael Wahl has extensive experience in international development and environmental management, currently serving as Director for the "Réussir au Sénégal" program at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH since August 2008. Previously, Michael worked as Chief Technical Advisor for Ecosystem-based Adaptation in Vietnam, and as Project Manager in Mauritania, focusing on climate change adaptation for coastal cities and collaborating closely with the ministry of environment. Michael's background also includes managing the Natural Resource Management Program and climate protection initiatives, along with previous roles in corporate design and information management at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH. Holding dual M.A. degrees in sociology, politics, cultural anthropology, and physics from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Michael brings a strong academic foundation to professional endeavors.
