Håkon Skogsrud

Håkon Skogsrud is a seasoned data scientist with extensive experience in analytics and astrophysics. Currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at Gjensidige since June 2021, Håkon specializes in applied analytics. Prior experience includes a data scientist role at Santander Consumer Bank AS from August 2016 to June 2021, where significant contributions included automating customer service emails, resulting in over 3500 hours saved in 2020. Håkon earned a Ph.D. in Astrophysics from the University of Oslo, focusing on jetstreams in the solar atmosphere. Additionally, Håkon has held various scientific assistant positions, including algorithm development for satellite imagery and educational roles in lab settings. Håkon possesses a Master’s degree in astronomy and a Bachelor’s degree in natural science from the University of Oslo.
