Darren Thomas

Darren Thomas has extensive experience in the aerospace industry, currently serving as the Industrial Architect for Additive Manufacturing at GKN Aerospace since January 2010, where responsibilities include overseeing engineering activities and managing capital expenditure projects. Previously, Darren held positions such as Chief Manufacturing Engineer and Bids Manufacturing Engineering Lead, focusing on multi-functional team management and the development of industrial solutions. Before GKN Aerospace, Darren completed an apprenticeship at Airbus Group as a Skilled Fabrication Engineer. Educational qualifications include a FdSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Plymouth and a BTEC National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering from City of Bristol College.
