Ferhat Karatas

Ferhat Karatas is an experienced Chief Engineer at GKN Aerospace, where responsibilities include managing and delivering engineering work packages across teams in the UK, Netherlands, Romania, and India since February 2012. Previous roles at GKN Aerospace include Engineering Team Leader for Product Verification and Lead Stress Engineer, focusing on empennage design for Gulfstream and Dassault Falcon business jet aircraft programs. Prior to this, Ferhat worked at Fokker Aerostructures B.V. from June 2007 to February 2012 as a System Engineer and Qualification Engineer in the NH90 helicopter program, and as a Structural Analyst for the Gulfstream G650. An internship at KVE Composites group involved research on induction welding of fiber-reinforced thermoplastics. Ferhat holds a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, specializing in Composite Structures from Delft University of Technology and completed VWO education at Einstein Lyceum.
