Sue Barnes

Sue Barnes is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in procurement, supply chain management, and quality systems across the aerospace industry. Currently serving as VP Procurement and Supply Chain at GKN Aerospace since February 2020, Barnes oversees a $250M annual spend and logistics across 10 global manufacturing sites. Previously, as VP Global Quality at GKN Aerospace, Barnes led initiatives to enhance quality culture and compliance across approximately 50 locations. Before returning to GKN, Barnes held the position of VP Engineering Performance Excellence at L3 Technologies, where the focus was on agile processes and engineering team engagement. A seasoned leader with a career at GKN Aerospace spanning over a decade, Barnes has held various roles, including VP/GM of Strategic Projects and Senior Director positions in Lean Manufacturing and Quality. Barnes holds an EMIB in International Business from Saint Louis University and a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from Loughborough University.
