Crispin Chatterton

As Director of Education, Crispin Chatterton leads GL Education’s product strategy, ensuring the company develops assessments and services that will anticipate schools’ needs and enable the business to grow over the long term. He led the introduction of a product management function at GL Education and worked with the CTO to transform the company into a product-led, digital-first business. Previously, Crispin served as General Manager of Boardworks, where he worked for three years on the leadership team.

Crispin was a teacher for 14 years before joining Boardworks and GL Education, working in state and independent schools in the UK, France and Rwanda. Most recently he worked for six years in a comprehensive school in Sheffield as head of languages and head of year, where he developed his interest in assessment, school improvement and student wellbeing.

Crispin is a graduate of the University of Oxford, where he studied modern languages and philosophy.  He speaks French and Spanish.
