Daren Desjardins

Daren Desjardins is a Principal Software Engineer at Gladly. Daren has previously worked as a Senior Principal Software Engineer for Symantec DLP (Vontu), a Senior Consultant for Wells Fargo, and a Senior Engineer for Pipewise and Vontu.

Daren has been instrumental in the development of several key projects, including a framework that allows customers to create their own policy rules based on DLP concepts, and the design of an extensible rules engine for the DLP agent. Daren has also championed unit testing and TDD throughout their career.

Daren’s principal technologies include Java, Spring, C++, Boost, and Oracle. Daren is experienced in Scrum and TDD, and has mentored others in these areas.

Daren Desjardins's educational career began at the University of Waterloo - St. Jerome's University, where they completed a Bachelor of Mathematics with a focus in Honours Computer Science.

Daren Desjardins reports to Michal Matyjek, Director of Software Engineering. Daren Desjardins works with Nate Goldman - Sr. Productivity Engineer, Albert Dixon - Sr. DevOps Engineer, and Wendy Wang - Sr. Automation Engineer.
