Ruthie Ackerman

Ruthie Ackerman is a seasoned writer and communications expert with extensive experience in journalism and editorial leadership. As the Founder and Chief Writing Coach of The Ignite Writers Collective since March 2019, Ackerman has also contributed as a freelance writer for major publications including Glamour, Forbes, and The New York Times since 2005, earning acclaim for notable pieces such as a highly popular 'Modern Love' column. Previous roles include Editor in Chief at Poppy Seed Health, where Ackerman launched an innovative resource portal for pregnant and postpartum individuals, and a consultant for UN Women, focusing on gender equality education for journalists.
