Peter J Firth M.sc.

Peter J Firth M.Sc. has extensive experience in the glass manufacturing industry, currently serving as a Glass Container Manufacturing Consultant at Glass Container Manufacturing Consulting Ltd since May 2020, providing technical expertise to various stakeholders. Concurrently, Peter authors technical articles related to glass production for the "Meet The GUYS" series in Glass International. Before this, a significant tenure at Ardagh Group spanned two decades, where Peter held multiple leadership roles, including OEG Best Practice Forming Manager and Plant Director, focusing on productivity, quality, and process improvements across multiple European plants. Peter's career also includes experience at Rockware Glass Ltd, Beatson Clark, and Redfearn National Glass Ltd, contributing to both production management and technical support in glass manufacturing processes. Academically, Peter obtained a Master’s degree in Manufacturing and Management from The University of Sheffield and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Sheffield Hallam University.
