Colin Ife, Ph.D.

Colin Ife, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning from 2012 to 2022. In 2012, they were a Technical Support Engineer Intern at Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks R&D Ltd. Following this, in 2014, they were a Software Engineer Intern at BT Group Engineering Services, delivering a proof-of-concept Dark Web monitoring solution. In 2018, they were a Research Assistant at UCL Dawes Centre for Future Crimes and a Research Engineer at Spherical Defence, where they collaborated with a team of ML engineers to design and deliver an API security product utilising deep learning. In 2020, they joined Snyk as a Security Data Analyst for their Security R&D group, maintaining and expanding their security database. Finally, in 2022, they became the Data Intelligence Team Lead and Senior Security Data Scientist at Glasswall, revolutionising the way the world protects itself against file-based threats through proactive Content Disarm and Reconstruction (CDR).

Colin Ife, Ph.D. completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Information and Computer Engineering from the University of Cambridge in 2014. Colin then earned a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Information and Computer Engineering from the same university in 2015. In 2016, they obtained a Master of Research (MRes) in Security Science from UCL. Finally, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cybersecurity from UCL in 2021.
