Jia-Ying John Y. has a diverse work experience spanning over a period of several years. They began their career in research as a Research Assistant at National Taiwan University (NTU) Hospital in 1996. They later joined NTU Hospital again as a Research Assistant in 1996 before transitioning to the Taiwan Army, where they served as a Second Lieutenant and Platoon Leader from 1997 to 1999. Following their military service, Jia-Ying worked as a Research Assistant at NTU Hospital and National Yang-Ming University in 1996 and 1999 respectively.

In 2000, Jia-Ying took on the role of Research Associate at NTU Hospital, where they conducted investigations on monoclonality in NK/T cells in sinonasal lymphoma. They also published research papers related to their findings. Their next position was as a Professional at Allergan Inc. from 2002 to 2003, where they conducted in vitro photodynamic injury models to assess compound efficacy and treatment conditions.

From 2011 to 2015, Jia-Ying worked at Allergan as a Scientist and then as a Senior Professional. In these roles, they conducted non-invasive electroretinography and ocular imaging investigations, as well as mouse behavior studies, supporting various research projects.

Finally, Jia-Ying joined Glaukos Corporation in 2015 as a Scientist. In this role, they collaborated with contract research organizations for PK/safety studies to support clinical trials.
