David Leonard

David Leonard is a seasoned professional in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors, currently serving as Head of R&D Strategy at GSK since May 2022, following a successful secondment from Strategy& where David held various roles including Senior Manager. David's experience at GSK includes progressing through multiple leadership positions within R&D Strategy and contributions to brand management and research while part of the Future Leaders Programme. Prior to GSK, David gained valuable experience at AstraZeneca as a pre-registration pharmacist and summer intern, focusing on formulation development. David began a career in pharmaceuticals after receiving a First-Class degree in Pharmacy from The University of Manchester and earlier achieving A Levels in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from Integrated College Dungannon.
