Sridhar Venkatesh

Sridhar Venkatesh has extensive experience in leadership roles within the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as President & General Manager at GSK since March 2011. Sridhar was appointed Managing Director of India in early 2020, overseeing a significant entity with a market capitalization of approximately £2B and a workforce of 5,200 employees. Previous positions include Vice President of Southeast Asia, with oversight of operations in six markets, and General Manager for Central America & the Caribbean, managing nine legal entities across 31 countries. Prior experience at Pfizer includes roles as Senior Director of Business Development for Asia and Regional Marketing Director for Anti Infectives. Early career at Eli Lilly involved managerial positions that established key marketing strategies and launched products in various markets. Sridhar holds two Masters in Pharmacy with a focus on Pharmaceutical Marketing from the College of Pharmacy, Manipal, and a high school diploma in Science from DTEA Lodi Estate, New Delhi.
