James Phelan

James Phelan is a seasoned banking professional with extensive experience in retail banking and treasury management. Currently serving as Vice President and Head of Retail at Great Lakes Credit Union since March 2022, James previously held the position of Senior Vice President and National Sales Manager for Treasury Management at Huntington National Bank from February 2018 to March 2022, where leadership of a motivated team focused on cash flow optimization and fraud mitigation for commercial clients was paramount. Prior roles at TCF Bank included Senior Vice President and Regional Director of Branch Banking, where the development of customer-driven strategies led to improved sales and market competitiveness, as well as managing branch operations and support services.
