Shivani Kishnani

Software Engineer at Glean

Shivani Kishnani has been working in the software engineering field since 2021, when they joined Glean as a Software Engineer. Prior to that, they held various roles at UC Berkeley Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences (EECS) from 2019-2021, including Teaching Assistant for Data Structures and Discrete Math and Probability Theory, and Reader for Efficient Algorithms and Intractable Problems. Shivani also worked as a Researcher at Berkeley Artificial Intelligence Research from 2019-2021, leading projects on learning latent encodings to improve sample efficiency in image-based robot and hand manipulation tasks, and studying benchmarks in behavior cloning for different tasks. In 2018, Shivani worked as a Research Assistant at the Berkeley Institute of Data Science, analyzing the data of scattering angles of gamma rays using machine learning. Shivani also worked as a Deep Learning Intern at Tata Elxsi in 2018, creating data sets by scraping internet images, annotating them, and creating a script to augment them using OpenCV.

Shivani Kishnani attended the University of California, Berkeley from 2017 to 2021, earning a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
