Deborah Sabey has a diverse work experience. Deborah currently serves as the Head Gardener at The Glencoe Club. Prior to that, they were an Independent Business Owner at Sabey Gardens and Landscapes since 2019.
Before entering the gardening industry, Sabey worked at the University of Utah for several years. Deborah held various roles, including Administrative Officer, Contracts Administrator, and Executive Secretary. As an Administrative Officer, Sabey assisted high-level staff members in managing their calendars and administrative tasks. In the Contracts Administrator role, they created and managed research contracts with external organizations and prepared reports for funding agencies. Additionally, while working as an Executive Secretary, they oversaw general office management, customer service, and implemented an electronic filing system.
Sabey also has experience as an Executive Secretary at Cornerstone Aviation, where they maintained flight and class schedules for students and managed aircraft and student records.

Deborah Sabey began their education journey in 2007 at Utah State University, where they pursued and completed an Associate's degree in Anthropology and Museum Studies. In 2014, they furthered their education at the University of Utah, undertaking a Finance and Accounting Certificate program with a focus on Accounting and Finance. Currently, Deborah is enrolled at the University of Saskatchewan, expected to graduate in 2022 with a Master Gardener degree in Agriculture, General. Additionally, they have shown interest in Floral Design and has taken courses in that field at Mount Royal University.
