Cristián López Peñafiel

Cristián López Peñafiel is a seasoned professional in digital analytics and operational technology, currently serving as Senior Manager at Glencore since March 2021. Prior experience includes a pivotal role as Corporate Director of Digital Transformation at CODELCO, where Cristián led initiatives that significantly improved organizational efficiency and implemented advanced machine learning models. Earlier positions featured leadership in software engineering and product management at Tiger Spider, as well as various engineering roles at Antofagasta PLC and CODELCO, all contributing to enhanced mining operations and processes. Cristián holds a Master of Information Systems from the University of Melbourne and degrees in Mining Engineering and Business Management from Universidad de Chile and Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, respectively.
