Natural Areas Engagement Officer at GLENORCHY CITY COUNCIL

Ashleigh Carden is currently serving as the Natural Areas Engagement Officer at Glenorchy City Council since October 2022. Prior experience includes roles at Conservation Volunteers Australia as a Project Officer and Regional Coordinator from February 2020 to October 2022, and as a Volunteer Team Leader at Canal & River Trust from September 2016 to July 2019, where oversight of various volunteer groups on the Macclesfield and Trent & Mersey Canals was a key responsibility. Previous positions also include serving as an Emergency Medical Technician with St John Ambulance, a Reserves Officer at Alderney Wildlife Trust, a Team Leader for Conservation Volunteers New Zealand, and a Conservation Worker at Te Ngahere. Ashleigh holds a Bachelor of Science in Ecology, Biosecurity, and Conservation from The University of Auckland, completed in 2012.
