Ian Brooks

Ian Brooks is the Special Projects Manager at GL events UK. Ian has over eight years of experience in project management, including construction management, program management, and project management.

Ian started their career in the HM Forces (ARMY) Corps of Royal Engineers, where they served as a Construction Manager for two years. Ian then transitioned to the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), where they spent four years as a Program Manager and Project Manager.

In 2018, Ian left the DIO to join Kier Group as a Project Manager. Ian spent one year at Kier before joining BAE Systems Saudi Arabia in 2019. Ian remained with BAE Systems until 2020, when they joined GL events UK.

Throughout their career, Ian has proven himself to be an effective and efficient project manager. Ian has a strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. Ian is known for their excellent communication skills and their ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.

Ian Brooks has a Master's degree in Construction Project Management from Nottingham Trent University, a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from The Open University, and a Higher National Diploma in Building Construction Technology and a Higher National Certificate in Architectural and Building Sciences/Technology from the Royal School of Military Engineering.

They work with Helen Lea - Cluster 2 Manager, James Gibson - Cluster 3 Manager. Ian Brooks reports to Tom Alldread, Project Director.
