Upendra Patel

Upendra Patel has a diverse work experience in the embedded product design industry spanning over several decades. Upendra founded Glide Technology Pvt Ltd in 2013 after spending 30 years in the industry and serves as the Founder and CEO. At Glide Technologies, they focus on detailed engineering of complex embedded technology to design innovative products and solutions across various industry verticals.

In 2014, Upendra co-founded Wittybee and took on the role of Technical Director. With over 30 years of experience in product development, project management, and quality management, they guided the team on product development, deployment, and execution processes. Upendra held this role until August 2017.

Prior to these entrepreneurial ventures, Upendra served as the VP Engineering at Rhombus Global from December 2011 to May 2013. From 1999 to 2011, they worked at eInfochips, where they held the position of CTO. During their time there, they were responsible for new product and technology developments, obtaining new business from overseas customers for the Embedded Division, and managing various embedded and multimedia systems design projects.

Earlier in their career, they were the R&D Manager at Masibus Process Instruments Private Limited from 1989 to 1999, where they led product and software development, executed projects, and developed products for government and public sector companies. Upendra also briefly served as the Technical Manager for the Software Exports Division.

Upendra started their professional journey as a Project Engineer at Contech India Pvt Ltd in 1986, where they played a significant role in developing their data acquisition software and was involved in the installation and commissioning of SCADA systems.

Their earliest known role was as an Engineer at PRL in 1983.

Upendra Patel attended L.D. College of Engineering from 1979 to 1983, where they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communication. In 2010, they also obtained a PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.
