Alyssa Nunes

Alyssa Nunes has extensive experience in diplomacy and policy advisory roles at Global Affairs Canada, with a current position as Deputy Director for Eastern Africa, along with previous roles as Senior Advisor for Europe and Diplomat at the Embassy of Canada to Ethiopia and Djibouti. Nunes has held several senior policy advisor positions, including focus areas such as the Western Balkans and South East Asia, and has contributed as a policy advisor in security and defense relations within the Asia-Pacific region and Eastern Africa. Nunes began a professional career as an English teacher at Gangnam Language Institute and holds a Master's degree in Sociology from Carleton University and a Bachelor's degree in Social Science from the University of Ottawa.
