Vefa Atag

Vefa Atag is an experienced trade professional currently serving as a Trade Commissioner at the Consulate General of Canada, with a focus on supporting Canadian businesses in the education, ICT, clean technologies, and automotive sectors across Turkey, Georgia, and Azerbaijan. Prior experience includes managing projects related to financial services and the business environment for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in Turkey, as well as promoting trade relations between British and Turkish businesses through the Department for International Trade. Vefa Atag has also contributed to business development in the CIS region while working as a Key Accounts Export Executive at ASPEN YAPI VE ZEMİN SİSTEMLERİ A.Ş. and held a graduate assistantship at Troy University, where a Master of Science in International Relations was obtained. Undergraduate studies in Language Interpretation and Translation were completed at Azerbaijan State University of Languages.
