Agnes Mallipu is a seasoned professional in nutrition and health program management with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as the Country Director for the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) since January 2014, Agnes has also held positions such as Interim Country Representative, Senior Program Manager, and Program Manager within the organization. Prior experience includes the role of National Technical Officer for the HIV Cooperation Program in Indonesia at GRM International and Nutrition Program Manager at Action Contre la Faim - France. Agnes has contributed as a consultant for JHPIEGO, held various positions at the United Nations World Food Programme and Catholic Relief Services, and has experience in emergency response with Church World Service. Academic qualifications include a Medical Doctor degree from Universitas Hasanuddin and a Post Graduate Diploma in Food and Nutrition Security from Wageningen University & Research.

Working with partners, GAIN aims at making healthier food choices more affordable, more available, and more desirable. GAIN’s purpose is to improve nutrition outcomes by improving the consumption of nutritious and safe food for all people, especially the most vulnerable.
