Burkhard Hinz

Burkhard Hinz is an experienced professional with a strong background in international development and project management, currently serving as the Country Director for Indonesia at KfW since 2002. Hinz has held multiple leadership roles within KfW, including Director of Mobility and Urban Infrastructure for East and Southeast Asia, Country Director for Egypt managing a substantial portfolio of approximately 2.5 billion EUR, and overseeing significant funding initiatives in Turkey and across East Africa. Additionally, Hinz served as a Member of the Board of Directors for the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Egypt and held various positions at KfW and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation earlier in his career. Hinz holds an educational background from The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg.
