Joanna Turner

Joanna is a machine learning engineer on Global Fishing Watch’s research team, where she is developing their next generation of behavioral models. Prior to joining Global Fishing Watch, she worked as a post-doctoral researcher, investigating the use of deep learning models for multi-sensor metrology. She holds a BSc in Computer Science, and in 2018 earned a PhD for her research in multi-agent systems. In her free time, Joanna enjoys hiking, cycling, and playing the guitar.
