Lisa Tossey supports the implementation of Global Fishing Watch’s communications strategy, focusing on key outputs associated with research, technology and data products.
She has over 20 years of experience using emerging technologies in science communication and outreach, exploring multimedia and digital platforms to share stories about research, environmental issues and community impacts for NOAA Sea Grant programs, universities and nonprofit organizations.
Lisa has a master’s degree in multiplatform journalism from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from Salisbury University.
