Melanie Archer

Melanie Archer is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in global health and international development. Currently serving as Senior Director at Global Health Strategies since November 2017, Melanie has made significant contributions by developing messaging on inequality, managing communications for the Lancet Commission, and fostering advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights in Ethiopia. Previous roles include Digital Editor at BBC Media Action, where Melanie managed content strategies and highlighted media's role in international development, and Communications Officer at the Overseas Development Institute, focusing on humanitarian policy. With a background that spans various organizations, Melanie's expertise encompasses strategic communications, content creation, and event management. Melanie holds an MA (Hons) in International Relations from The University of Edinburgh and participated in a study abroad program in International Politics at the University of California, Berkeley.
